East Jakarta Red Cross Provides Aid to Utan Kayu Utara Fire Survivors

The East Jakarta Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) provided aid to fire survivors on Jalan Srikaya No. 20, RT 08/06, Utan Kayu Utara (UKU) Urban Village, Matraman, on Thursday (8/6).
Six aid items were provided to residents
The aid was symbolically handed over by the Chairman of the East Jakarta Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), Bambang Pangestu, and received by the Vice Head of Matraman District, Wahyu, and the Head of UKU Urban Village, Yuni Sarofah, as well as local neighborhood association (RT/RW) officials and fire survivors at the scene.
Aid Provided to Fire Survivors in Cipinang Besar Utara"Six aid items were provided to residents affected by the fire in UKU Urban Village," Bambang said.
These six aid items consist of one hygiene kit, one family kit, and one package of basic food supplies, along with two folding mats, two sarongs, and one school kit.
"Hopefully, this can help ease the burden on residents affected by the fire," he added.
Head of UKU Urban Village, Yuni Sarofah admitted her side is also seeking assistance from other agencies to meet these needs of its residents.
"Aid from the East Jakarta Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) has been received and immediately distributed to the affected residents. This greatly helps alleviate the burden of the fire survivors," she explained.
Sariyanti (43), one of the survivors, admitted the assistance received is very beneficial, as it is indeed urgently needed at this time.
"Everything is very beneficial for our family," she admitted.
